Platinum Edition is a regional limited edition released by the exclusive distributor in the Netherlands in 2016, with a total production of 8,000 boxes. It has the same size as the Partagas E No.2, and is otherwise only used to launch annual/regional limited editions. La Gloria Cubana's product line is of medium concentration, so the aging time required is shorter than other high-concentration brands. After 8 years of aging, impurities are decomposed through the action of biological enzymes, and the sugar in the cigar is converted into aromatic substances, making the cigar flavor more mellow and sweet.
When tasting, the Platinum Edition fully demonstrates the brand's sweet style. The initial stage is a sweet hazelnut, cedar and chocolate flavor, followed by a richer aroma of nuts and dried fruits, as well as the aroma of fully aged tobacco. The aftertaste is also longer than that of new year cigars.
